Linda Quigley came to Pennsylvania from the Canadian prairies. Attracted to the colorful bounty of the local vegetable and flower markets, she chose to capture the wonderful textures, colors, and shapes on display at the Oakford Park Fruit Market in Jeannette. The contrasts and luminosity in this scene showcase the pastels that are her usual medium.

Linda is a member of the Greensburg Art Club and the Pittsburgh Society of Artists. She has exhibited her work in numerous shows, most recently winning first place in a National Pastel Competition at Lafond Gallery in Pittsburgh. Her work has been purchased for the art collections of area institutions. A prize winner at "A Day at Saint Vincent College," her work was chosen to hang in the permanent collection on campus. Linda has become well known in the community through her art classes and her presence at Greensburg Art Supply and Style & Substance Gallery.

Shortly after Linda's work was chosen for the Greensburg Art Club's Note Card Collection II, she and her husband, Allan, moved to Nova Scotia on a new adventure.
